Multi-site Videoconference with People at upto 10 Locations

The KX-VC1600 lets you hold a multi-site videoconference with people residing at up to 10 sites*1 without requiring the purchase of expensive MCUs (Multi-point Connection Units). When combined with Panasonic's NAT Traversal Service or HD Visual Communication Mobile (HDVC Mobile), the software enables the use of mobile devices for participating in a videoconference. Thus, you can have an effective visual communication without restrictions on time or place.

Flexible in holding of multi-site videoconference The HDVC System lets you hold a multi-site videoconference virtually at any site you choose. Even if the locations of the multi-site videoconferences change each time, the videoconference can be held using only the equipment at the participating sites. Thus, HDVC System allows you to experience the flexibility in holding videoconferences for multi-sites.

Connectable to products of different manufacturers

Panasonic The devices of Panasonic viz. KX-VC1600, KX-VC1300 and KX-VC1000 are useful in complying with the H.261, H.263 and H.264 for international video compression standards. Therefore, they can connect to older product models manufactured by different companies as long as they meet with their standards. This allows phased system expansion while using existing videoconference equipment.

One-way video transmission is possible for upto 30 sites

If the Panasonic's models like KX-VC1600, KX-VC1300, and KX-VC1000 are used as the video transmission device, then the transmission is possible for up to 30 sites without using an expensive control server or MCU. Also, the images can be easily transmitted depending upon your needs such as sharing of regular morning meeting or seminar images. By sending camera images sequentially, access concentration can be prevented at the image transmission site. This enables a comfortable line environment for multi-site transmission.

  • Cannot be used for NAT Traversal Service.
  • A Multicast Activation Key (KX-VCS302) is required for the video transmission device and all receiving HDVC System sites.
  • The devices like KX-VC1600, KX-VC1300, KX-VC1000, KX-VC600, and KX-VC300 can be used as the video transmission devices. However, when the KX-VC600 or KX-VC300 is used as the video transmission device, then a separate server is required.
  • The KX-VC1600, KX-VC1300, KX-VC1000, KX-VC600, and KX-VC300 can also be used as the reception site devices.
  • A mesh type network is required.

Optimum Screen Layout

The HDVC System comes with a function that lets you choose a screen layout from a variety of options. For instance, you can select a screen layout to show all participating sites or to display the site with a high voice level in a large window (Window 1 in the layouts shown below). The most suitable screen layout can be selected according to the type of videoconference held.
The screen layout changes automatically according to the number of connection sites.
* For Discussion mode, designated sites can be displayed at the preset screen positions.
