Flexo printing, also known as flexographic printing, is a technique of printing that requires the use of a flexible relief plate. It is somewhat similar to a letterpress, where the ink is carried from a raised printing plate, using fast drying inks, on to the chosen underlying substance/layer (including plastic, metallic films, cellophane, and paper).

Flexographic printing is fairly dynamic, with continuous advancements in the presses, plate making and ink technology - all of which have increased demand for this method of printing in types of food packaging.

It is also well suited for printing on the non-porous substrates and large areas of solid colour.
