Types of Treatments

  • Surgery
In case of severe back pain, none of the above treatments is a replacement of surgery. Surgery is a must when the patient complains of
    • Extreme or unbearable pain even after medications
    • Weakness or loss of power in the legs and arms
    • Difficulty in urination
    • Loss of control of bladder and bowel (stool)
  • Medication & Supplements
Right medication should be prescribed based on patient's age & health. Painkillers are the SILENT KILLERS for the kidneys. Vitamin D3, B12 and calcium supplements should only be prescribed after proper blood evaluation.
  • Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy should always be done under the guidance of qualified physiotherapist. Physiotherapy at home is generally not that effective as at clinic. Comprehensive treatment should be given for recovery of the patient, that includes,
    • Electrotherapy and Hot & Cold therapy
    • Manual therapy. Should only be done by experts.
    • Chiropractic treatment, if needed.
    • Strengthning Exercises are must for recovery, stability and longevity.
  • Intervention pain medicine
    • Epidural Injection of spine to reduce the inflammation followed by physiotherapy.
    • RF- Radio frequency ablation (in case of nerve decompression due to slip disc) It is a day care treatment.
    • Endoscopic laser spine decompression - It is a one day treatment.
