The many benefits of cinnamon bark oil

The oil derived from cinnamon bark is a rare and expensive ingredient. Cinnamon bark belongs to cinnamon zeylanicum which includes more than 250 aromatic evergreen trees and shrubs found across Asia and Australia.Due to its multiple uses in different industries cinnamon bark oil is being highly imported by many countries.

The cinnamon bark oil has a delicate aroma and pungent and sweet taste. The bark oil is used in flavouring toothpaste to hide the disagreeable taste of pyrophosphate- a compound that stops plaque calcification. Cinnamon bark is being used in Ayurveda since a long time.

It has an antiflatulant, antidiarrheal and antiemetic properties. Cinnamon bark oil has also effectively worked in lowering cholesterol, killing bacteria, healing wounds, controlling blood sugar and controlling stomach infections.

Cinnamon bark oil has no less than 90 identified compounds and over 50-minute unidentified compounds. Due to its honeyed taste and smell it is added in meats and fast foods along with pickles, confectionery, cola type beverages and baked goods. Cinnamon bark oil is also used in perfumes and soaps.

There are many other therapeutic uses of cinnamon oil, according to some studies is can potentially help in fighting virus causing diseases like herpes and AIDS.  In several studies it has also shown to exhibit cancer fighting properties.Cinnamon oil fights fungal infections and can reverse symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
