Scholarship Programme

An education support programme for students from weaker sections of society, it covers school, college, university education and vocational training.

The programme is unique in nature; its strong components being guardianship, intensive mentoring through counsellors, quality education in better schools, remediation and financial support.

The Foundation executes the programme through:-

Professional organisations for identifying candidates, testing, counselling and linkages for scholarships.

Schools, institutes, colleges and universities.

Very well qualified counsellors cum mentors.

Govt. Schools Support Programme

Supports Governments, in Delhi National Capital Region to improve their infrastructure and the quality of education

Currently, supports 12 schools in Noida, Uttar Pradesh where DLF Foundation plays a lead role, along with seven other partner organisations to upgrade infra and quality of education in these schools.

Promotion of Sports

The DLF Golf Excellence Program was started in the FY 2017-18, with the aim of instituting a golf program to support junior boys and girls of merit and train them in all aspects of the game to excel at the international level.

Under this program, sports scholarship is being provided to 12 trainee golfers in the age group of 12-18 years for their coaching, equipment, fitness and participation in tournaments.

Students are provided training in golf and fitness, support for equipment, practice and play facility at the DLF Golf & Country Club in partnership with K & A Golf Private ltd.

Teaching faculty consists of an international golf coach and fitness instructors.

Impact

Hitaashee Bakshi has bagged the first place at the Hong Kong Junior Golf Championship 2018 (under 13-14 years age category). She finished 2nd in the Singapore Ladies Amateur Open Championship in June 2019 and is currently ranked #1 in the IGU Ladies Ranking.

Kartik Sharma and Sunhit Bishnoi did India proud by standing second and third respectively, at the Hong Kong Junior Golf Championship 2018 (under 15-17 years age category).

Kartik Sharma won the New South Wales Amateur Championship in January 2019.

Sunhit Bishnoi achieved #1 Junior ranking in the Order of Merit released by the Indian Golf Union on 29 Sept 2018.

Jahanvi Bakshi achieved the #1 Ladies ranking in the Final Order of Merit released by the Indian Golf Union for 2018.

Hitaashee and Jahanvi Bakshi represented India in the Queen Sirikit Cup in March 2019.

Schools Programme

As part of DLF’s education initiatives (not CSR), DLF Foundation also runs quality schools for promotion of education for the general public living around DLF Project areas. Currently, runs the following three schools: -

Summer Fields School (SFS).

Ridge Valley School (RVS).

Swatrantra Bharat Mills School (SBM). (Govt Aided)

DLF Foundation has undertaken various Environment Projects including:

• Rain Water Harvesting
• Arboriculture and Tree Plantation
• Water Purification and installation of Water ATM’s

• DLF Foundation in partnership with Haryana Government is developing a crematorium in Gurugram on a 6 acres site in Sector 52A, Gurugram.
• It will incorporate the best in technology while retaining Hindu rituals & traditions. The aim will be to optimize the use of wood to the extent possible & incorporate environment friendly & energy efficient design.
• The crematorium will have a mix of mokshda & traditional pyres along with CNG/Electric pyres.
• It will have 42 covered platforms along with preparatory pavilions for performing last rites, administrative block with lockers for storing ashes & appropriate spaces for congregations which have open, green & yet offer privacy to ensure peace and serenity.
• The crematorium will ensure a smooth entry and exit point with a parking facility for 700 vehicles.

The Skilling Programme has impacted 28,500 lives over the last six years by providing training and employment to the most deprived.

• The DLF Skilling Programme has been initiated for providing training and employment to the underserved.

• The Programme provides training in trades like Graphic Designing, Accounting Software & Retail.

• The strength of the Programme is life skill training incorporating grooming & communication module which has been integrated in the curriculum.

• DLF Foundation has partnered with CII for employment facilitation of the beneficiaries being empowered through this programme.

a) Mobile Diagnostic Bus for screening of Diabetes, Cancer and other ailments in Gurugram.

DLF Mobile Wellness Bus, is a Project for early screening of Diabetes and Cancer (Cervical, Breast and Prostate) and continues to impact the underserved community around DLF projects in Gurugram .
The Medical Bus provides basic healthcare and testing/ diagnostic facilities to the large slum and village population of Gurugram in addition to serving DLF City for early detection of these diseases.
The Mobile Wellness Bus is well equipped with all testing facilities for basic screening of Diabetes and Cancer including Digital Video Colposcope, an iBreast examination machine, an automatic HB1AC Analyzer and a semi-automated Bio Chemistry Analyzer.
It provides free diagnostic services to the underserved in Gurugram.
It is serviced by a team of doctors, pathologist, nurses and lab technicians.
b) Providing Healthcare through Primary Health Centre in Delhi.

The Project aims to address the challenges faced by the underprivileged communities residing in urban slums.
DLF Foundation has been delivering healthcare through experienced teams of doctors and paramedics at the DLF Primary Health Centers.
c) Senior Citizen Care.

In order to provide a platform for senior citizens to interact socially, build a support network, boost their self-esteem and lead an active life, DLF Foundation has established a Senior Citizen Recreation Centre in DLF Phase-ll Community Centre.
The Centre organises various activities for senior citizens every evening all through the year.
The Project is run in partnership with Dignity Foundation and provided a platform for senior citizens to step out of their houses and engage.
