There has been an upswing in the demand for holistic treatments and more specifically aromatherapy due to its rising interest and demand.

One of the companies benefitting from the global demand of the rising wellbeing trend is First Natural Brands. With support from the Department of International Trade (DIT), the company recently secured a lifestyle firm and launched 20 lines across five new territories.

The company has been producing essential oils for more than 40 years and exports to more than 40 countries which include countries like United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Ireland and France. The firm creates and manufactures natural, therapeutic products to balance the mind, body and overall wellbeing.

In the last five years, the speciality chemical business has seen a growth in the natural cosmetics and wellbeing market with the sales rising by 40% in the last 12 months owing to increased awareness on the benefits of essential oils.

Delegates from the company attended a cosmetic trade show in which they met with representatives who are experts in helping businesses grow in certain markets. Since then the business has kept in regular touch with International Trade Advisor at DIT.

First Natural Brands presently employ sixty people at two different sites. The company’s business is expected to continue at a rapid growth rate. The company has invested in a second manufacturing site in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire which has allowed it to bring manufacturing in the house and better control on labelling for certain international markets.
